Democratic Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi spoke to members of the U.S. House of Representatives prior to their vote on the $700 billion bailout package. She called the speech nonpartisan but members of the Republican House delegation blamed the down vote on Pelosi’s inflammatory words.

Saturday Night Live’s September 27th show featured a spoof on the sitdown interview of Governor Sarah Palin and CBS network news anchor Katie Couric. Tina Fey and Amy Poehler opened the show with their second skit in two weeks.

John McCain has one eye that appears at times smaller than the other and it looks slightly lower. It also has a tendency to droop. Some are suggesting that it is a possible sign that McCain has had a stroke and it might be the reason the candidate is putting the campaign on hold.
