Owen Wilson was out for a scooter ride in Malibu.
We haven’t heard much about him since his suicide attempt and subsequent hospital stay. We hope he is recovering well.
Matthew McConaughey is replacing Wilson in the upcoming film “Tropic Thunder.”

Matthew McConaughey has been cast in the role Owen Wilson dropped out of after his hospitalization for a suicide attempt.
The role is an uncredited cameo in the film “Tropic Thunder” which is currently shooting in Hawaii, for a week.

Owen Wilson, 38, attempted suicide three weeks ago by overdosing on pills and slashing his left wrist. The scar is visible as he enjoys a day at the beach with brother Andrew.
An onlooker reported that “he looked relaxed, like he had put his troubles behind him.”

Owen Wilson canceled appearances at the Venice Film Festival but is “doing well” and “making us laugh a lot,” says his longtime friend Wes Anderson.

Owen Wilson has been released from Cedars-Sinai Medical Center following a suicide attempt last week. He is back home in Santa Monica under the watchful eye of family and friends.
He is said to be in “bad mental shape, but thankful to be alive.”
