Nicole Richie and Joel Madden are said to be very excited about the impending birth of their new baby. The blessed event is scheduled to occur within the next week, according to Joel’s older brother Josh Madden.

Nicole Richie was the guest of honor at her first of five baby showers over the weekend. The “Wizard of Oz” themed luncheon put on by party planner Mindy Weiss and hosted by Richie’s mother, was attended by 90 guests.
