Dollhouse actress Heather Matarazzo is engaged to musician Carolyn Murphy. The couple have been together for a year.

Matarazzo played a geeky seventh grader in Welcome to the Dollhouse. Her more recent roles include more gawky roles in The Princess Diaries, Hostel: Part II and Believe in Me.

Because the couple do not have a specific male or female role, they both proposed. Her publicist Lisa Jammal told E! News:

“It was really cute. First Heather proposed to Carolyn, then Carolyn proposed to her.”

After the gay marriage ban was lifted in California, several celebrity couples announced their intentions to wed. Ellen DeGeneres and her long time companion Portia de Rossi are planning a fall wedding. Actor George Takei and partner Brad Altman plan a September ceremony. See details here.
