Shia LaBeouf, 22, was involved in a two car accident at 3:00 a.m. on July 27th. The actor, his female passenger and another driver were injured in the crash. LaBeouf was treated at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center for injuries to his head, left hand and knee according to police. He reportedly had extensive hand surgery and will be off work for a month.

LaBeouf reportedly rolled his Ford truck after colliding with another vehicle. Police arrested the actor at the scene on suspicion of DUI, after he exhibited outward signs of intoxication.

After several run-ins with the law, the star vowed in May 2008 that he would never get arrested again because he didn’t want to hamper his promising film career. He was quoted as saying:

” There’s nothing cool about getting arrested for stupid stuff at my age. But it keeps happening to me. I could pretend that I find it all highly amusing, but I’d be lying. It’s deeply embarrassing. I decided a long time ago to stop doing stupid stuff so clearly I’ve still got some work to do on myself. I’m not anonymous any more.”

The Transformers star is currently dating Lauren Hastings. She is a 22 year old model and appeared in Justin Timberlake’s Cry Me A River video.
