Patrick Swayze’s New TV Series “The Beast”
Patrick Swayze, who has been undergoing treatment for pancreatic cancer, is set to star in a new television series which begins filming this summer on location in Chicago.
Swayze will be starring as FBI agent Charles Barker in the A&E drama The Beast. The 55-year-old actor, who has been responding well to treatment, said in a statement from the network, “I have searched for quite a long time to find a character that is this multi-layered, unpredictable and downright entertaining, as well as a project this current and cutting edged.”
The actor is currently undergoing care at Stanford University Medical Center and will continue his course of treatment during filming.
