Country superstar Carrie Underwood is living the American dream. Just for fun we found her audition tape from American Idol. The change in her style and voice from then to now is remarkable.

Carrie was born and raised on a farm and until she came to Hollywood for Idol, she had never been on an airplane. The gracious singer has remained grounded in the midst of a very hectic life. She has demonstrated that she is a positive role model for kids everywhere.

Simon Cowell pegged her right from the start as a potential winner and cautioned her to stay true to her dream. He remarked about the potential he saw in her to become Idols first great country singer. A savvy man, that Simon. Not so clever with the two David’s but even the clever ones make a mistake now and again.
