Denise Richards reportedly sets the record straight in the June issue of REDBOOK. The latest issue will hit stands on May 13th. She dishes on her divorce from Charlie Sheen, her relationship with Richie Sambora and Heather Locklear and her decision to star in a reality television show on E! with her young daughters Sam and Lola.

Denise Richards: It’s Complicated debuts on May 26, 2008. The actress has received criticism for exploiting her young children by exposing them to reality TV. Ex husband Charlie Sheen tried to get the courts to step in but lost that battle. Sheen and Brooke Mueller will wed on May 30th.

Richards says that she’s rather be with the children all day than be accused of neglecting them while she’s working but acknowledges that it’s a no win situation where the media is concerned. She told REDBOOK:

I’m 37 years old, divorced with two kids, and my ex-husband is Charlie Sheen. I obviously have a lot of crap to get through right now, and I want a partner who understands all of this and still wants to be with me through the journey.”
