Miley Cyrus Vanity Fair Photos
Miley Cyrus will appear in the next issue of Vanity Fair. The singer and actress did the photo shoot with Annie Leibovitz and it was widely reported that Cyrus was topless. In a statement released today, Miley was quoted as saying:
I took part in a photo shoot that was supposed to be ‘artistic’ and now, seeing the photographs and reading the story, I feel so embarrassed. I never intended for any of this to happen and I apologize to my fans who I care so deeply about.”
According to People magazine, Cyrus is clothed in the photos but is shown in such a way that she appears to be topless. The Disney Channel, after learning of the Vanity Fair photo spread and article also issued a statement critical of the magazine. They said:
Unfortunately, as the article suggests, a situation was created to deliberately manipulate a 15-year-old in order to sell magazines.”
The 15 year old has had several instances where private photos were leaked on the internet over the past six months. While the photos have been slightly suggestive, the nature of these pictures can clearly be classified as teenage antics.
One shot showed the teen star in what looked like girl-girl kiss photos but was actually the swapping of candy between the two BFF’s. Her latest photos show her cuddled up with a boy on a couch. The shots seem more staged than candid, but they have caused a good deal of interest none the less. Check out Miley’s underwear photos here.
In a response to the criticism she has received for sharing her personal photos on line, she issued the following statement:
The pictures of me on the Internet were silly, inappropriate shots. I appreciate all the support of my fans, and hope they understand that along the way I am going to make mistakes and I am not perfect. I never intended for any of this to happen and I am truly sorry if I have disappointed anyone.”
Cyrus is also featured on German Vanity Fair Online, where she is being called The New Britney Spears in a three page interview in German - for those who are fluent in the language.

I HEARD ABOUT THESE PHOTOS ON THE RADIO THIS MORNING AND HAD TO SEE WHAT IT WAS ALL ABOUT. SHE DOESN’T LOOK GOTH, BUT SHE LOOKS LIKE A MALNURISHED CHILD WHO IS AFRAID. SHE IS SUCH A BEAUTIFUL GIRL BUT THIS DOESN’T SHOW THAT AT ALL.
Way to go America, land of celebrity worship and fame mongering, nice to see that Vanity Fair is now moving on to child porn. The only constant in America is that Exploitation is King! When will these sick obsessions for the so-called famous stop?

Well… Miley…This pictures are a bit racey for a 15 year old. Annie should do a retake, showing less skin. My family are still Miley’s fans. Unfortunately, she definitely will lose fans over these pics.

Before they were taking a pic. of you did you even think of doing this? why did you even do this? if i were you i woudnt do this because i know that im famous and i will be embarras if i do this. i understand how you feel.and i feel sorry for you . just think of doing things before you do it.

How pathetic. There is nothing wrong with these photos. People really need to start going on with their lives instead of trying to trash her. I am sure alot of you have taken photos that are alot worse than these. How are these pictures immoral or racey?
Wow, is this what the hype is all about. I cannot see one thing wrong with these photographs. If this was any other person in Hollywood, or anywhere for that matter, this would not even register in our heads. It is her bare back for god sake. If you have ever gone to a swimming pool, which I’m sure everyone has, or for that matter any place where people can swim, you will see far more then in these pictures. I say; critics, shut up, and don’t freaking complain.

If we stop making a big deal about these pictures and take a good look. A daughter and Father taking pictures wow. We are a nation of prudes. Miley looks great in her pictures . More parents should hope to have that bond with their child when they reach Miley’s age.
I don’t see anything wrong w/ these photos, and by the way, people shouldn’t depend on celebrities to be role models for their children. It is unrealistic. Parents should be the role models for their children and teach them self respect and the difference between appropriate and inappropriate behavior not The Disney Channel!
The news media has blown this way out of proportion. Teen girls wear bikini bathing suits showing more skin everyday than any of these photos show. All the media BS has to be more devastating and humiliating for this poor child than anything revealed in these photos. For everyone who criticized her photos, I hope you are clothed head to toe every single day of your life before passing judgment. Regardless of her TV personality, she is still a teen aged girl and there is nothing wrong with any of these photos. GROW UP AMERICA, high school kids respond more mature than adults in America today.
I have to ask. I see from the photo shoot that Billy Ray was there himself. I guess he did not see anything wrong with photo’s that made his 15 year daughter look like she was just getting up from doing you know what. With her messed up hair, smugged makeup and nude body under a sheet. She’s 15 for GOD sake. The comment that it was a artistic shot is OK for an 18 year Mrs. Leibovitz, not a 15 year old GIRL. Thats whats wrong with our society, “BUT, she looked Beautiful.” This is just another DAUGHTER of DISNEY to go bad. I don’t know what everyone was thinking!!!!

You know what the problem with this world to day is: everything is pornographic and nothing is natural unless you are buttoned up to your neck and wearing hood. We are constently having our sexuality being suppressed by people who think they know what is best for us. Well they know what is best for themselves not the rest of the world. We all learn from experiences and the young are always going to be rebelious. It’s this type of pressure to politically correctness that spawns the evil of pediphiles, crime and drugs. If we would just educate our young on why they feel the way they do and want to experience these kinds of things then we would get more responsibility from them and proper judgement. But what society does is just tell them it is wrong and they should not do it, but deep in side the are yerning for it. This is because its nature calling, as our children mature they start feeling what has been in us for thousands of years, the natural ability to survive. It is this natural ability that has kept us thriving and living on this planet. You have to think about a time when people only lived for thirty years, by the time a girl was in her tweens or teens she was ready to have children or she was having children. this was natural selection, only the fit and strong would survive. It is this natural selection that makes some of mature faster than others and experience or want to experience things of a more mature nature. so you all say that she has a responsibility, I say that you all have a responsibility, because she is just feeling nature take its course, and you all have, as adults been there yourselves. So it is your responsibility to educate when these children become young adults, yes young adults not tweens or teens. they are going through hormonal imbalances when they reach these ages and they need guidence not suppression, misdirection, and blame. It is the actions of the media that alows our young to go in the direction of misfortune, by explioting these types of action or decisions by our young adults, and if I must, Teens… So lets stop badering these young people and educate them, love them, and support them with guidence. This will help reassure that they will make the best decision for them and the people they care and love for. Its hard enough being in the spot light and feeling the pressure of the fame and stardom, let alone transitioning from child to teen or young adult. So America stop suppressing Americans, and get real.
im my oppinion it shouldnt be such a big deal for a teen age girl to be with a guy and at that who ever got her to take her shirt off i to blame not a 15 yr old. really i think the press are nastey people with the pictures they take not only of the stars but of there children. shouldnt we all have a right to some privicy? shes a child and this is whats going to happen. so if you dont want it to then dont put children on the spot light anymore cause then all everyone does is complain about it. so this is just crazy.
I don’t see anything wrong with these photos. It’s just a bare back. I see “nude” and I’m thinking parts of her breasts or bottom are exposed. That would be wrong, but this is no more revealing than many outfits worn at beaches today by girls her age. That being said, I do think the photographer should have had more sense, and that Miley should have had more sense. Her job is to portray an upright and moral model for young girls. She needs to take that into account when placing herself in a national public spotlight.

What I love about this is TWO things.
1. The hypocrisy of the so-called concerned parents, who don’t call the media on it, who keep showing these pics online.
2. And the hypocrisy of U.S. society: In high schools, they have bloddy cheer leaders running around in skimpy short skirts, and nobody thinks anything of THAT!
You see more nudity on the beaches, should now all under 16s wear a burkah to the beach? then BinLaden truly has won the war.
