Indiana Jones star Harrison Ford, 65, has revealed to Maxim magazine that he was drunk when he took the leap and got his ear pierced in 1997.

“A semi-drunken lunch date with Ed Bradley and Jimmy Buffet, who were both wearing rings, obviously made an impression. Afterward I walked down Madison Avenue until I found the first jewelry store that pierced ears.”

Ford also expressed his joy in helping long time girlfriend Calista Flockhart, 43, raise her adopted son Liam. He added that she is the best mom in the world. Awww, that is so sweet.

Harrison will be back on the big screen for his next installment of the Indiana Jones series after a nearly 20 year break: Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. The movie release is set for May 22nd.
