Beyonce Knowles and longtime boyfriend Jay-Z, who’s real name is Sean Corey Carter, unexpectedly tied the knot in a small wedding ceremony in New York City last week.

So what was the reason for the seemingly spur-of-the-moment wedding? Beyonce and Jay-Z are expecting their first child, if this Star magazine cover and other reports can be believed.

Rumors have been flying all week that it was a shotgun wedding for the couple. Two sources are saying Beyonce is indeed pregnant. Considering the secrecy surrounding their nuptials, I don’t think we can expect an official announcement of a pregnancy any time soon.
