Police were called to the home of Mel Gibson when a body was discovered hanging inside the residence.

According to Lost Hills Sheriff’s Department, they received a 911 call at 8:09 a.m. yesterday, reporting that a construction worker had hanged himself. He had been on a job site doing carpentry work when his body was discovered by his job site supervisor. The 48 year old man was working at the Sierra Creek Road property in Agoura Hills.

According to our friends at Post Chronicle, the residence is reportedly part of the Mel Gibson trust and is a few miles from his Malibu residence. He has never lived on the site where the suicide was reported.

Los Angeles Coroner’s office will do an autopsy. The name of the deceased has not been reported, pending notification of next of kin.
