Gwyneth Paltrow & Prince Charles on the Red Carpet (Photos)

Gwyneth Paltrow has been seen out and about in London over the past few days. She and pal? Madonna (who knew) had dinner on Monday evening and Paltrow hobnobbed with the Royals today. She was photographed at a charity event, shaking hands and chatting it up with Prince Charles.

Guy Ritchie and Chris Martin were nowhere to be seen during the girls only dinner date. Actually, Gwyneth and Madonna are close. Paltrow attended Madonna’s pet charity event in New York on the heels of her mysterious hospitalization for an undisclosed condition in mid January. The UNICEF event provides support to Malawi, homeland of Madonna’s son David Banda.

There have been rumors that both Madonna and Gwyneth might be estranged from their marriage partners. Guy Richie was not on hand when Madonna was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Gwyneth has not been publicly photographed with her husband within the past few months either. That absence is not due to his band Coldplay being on tour. They have no scheduled events.

The primary reason for Paltrow’s trip across the pond was the UK finals of the Celebrate Success Awards, which were held at The Odeon in London’s Leicester Square. The ceremony was organized by the Prince’s Trust, a charity established by Prince Charles more than 30 years ago. Gwyneth revealed: “I am a great admirer of The Prince of Wales. The work he has done through his charity to help young people is quite remarkable.”
