Matthew McConaughey Will Not Marry Camila Alves
There will be no wedding bells for soon-to-be parents Matthew McConaughey and Camila Alves, to the disappointment of the 24-year-old Brazilian supermodel.
38-year-old McConaughey, who is thrilled with his impending fatherhood, is perfectly content maintaining the status quo of the relationship, according to reports.
“Matthew is getting used to the idea that he’s going to be a father. He says that’s enough to deal with right now. He has no plans to walk down the aisle with Camila now - or ever.”
Camila, her mother and Matthew’s mother are said to be disappointed in Matthew’s disinterest in marriage.
“Camila comes from a very strict Catholic background. And Matthew’s family is very traditional too. Everyone, apart from Matthew, feels a wedding is in order.”

Very strict Catholic background? You mean like “no sex before marraige”? Oh. Interesting.
Matthew McConaughey has said many times that his father taught him how important it is to respect women and how he lives by it. Yet here he has said he loves this girl and has deliberately gotten her pregnant because HE wants to be a dad. It doesn’t seem to occur to him that the ultimate disrespect for Camila Alves is wanting her to give him children, but not willing to marry her.
I hope this child teaches him a little about responsibility and that everything in his life is not just about him. How gorgeous he is, how perfect he is, and how everyone loves him and knows he’s going to be the best dad, etc. That’s not going to fly with his son. The kid is going to see what kind of man he is to his mother as well as what kind of father he is. Kids don’t care how famous you are and are unimpressed with your looks. They see you as a roll model. He could very well raise a kid that sees you don’t need to be commited to the woman, just use her as a baby maker. Not good at all.
He didn’t get her pregnant it was a surprised to him and she knew what she was doing. She got pregnant to “keep” him. I mean who was she before she met him? Now that she is pregnant like many women she thinks he will marry her. So she disrespected herself by putting herself in that position. It takes 2. So just bc she is pregnant doesn’t mean they should get married. So I think both parties are to blame.
