Writer’s Strike is Finally Over
The deal that made between the Writers’ Guild of America and it’s members must have been a good one. Upon the latest vote, the writers voted a whopping 92.5 percent in favor and they will start writing again today.
The writers have been on the picket line for the last 100 days but the new contract will be giving them a bigger piece of the pot. They will now receive a share of all money made from programs that are run on the internet and will also reap some money from shows that are download.
Patric M. Verrone, president of the Writers Guild of America said “Writers will lead the way as TV migrates to the internet and platforms for new media are developed.”
