Golf Channel anchor Kelly Tilghman is on the hot seat after telling golfers that they should ‘lynch Tiger Woods in a back alley’ as a way to get a leg up on the PGA circuit. Now she’s sorry indeed and offering apologies to any and all comers. She has been suspended for two weeks because of those remarks.

Al Sharpton became very vocal in his attempt to see that Tilghman received sanctions. Golf Channel executives eventually bowed to pressure and reversed their earlier decision to let the remarks slide.

  1. The image above with microphone is of “Kay
    Cockrill” instead of kelly tilghman.

  2. Don’t think she meant anything harmful or racist by it. She was just saying that it would take an awful lot to stop Tiger and folks are blowing this out of proportion. And, I’m a black-straight woman…

  3. I agree with Melate. If anyone was ‘lynched’ it was this woman.

  4. I think Kelly does a great job on the golf channel. I’m sure she meant no harm in her coment. Her and Tiger are friends, I joke with my friends. People need to stop nit picking. Live their own lives.

  5. […] with one of their on air anchors, Kelly Tilghman. She made derogatory comments about Tiger Woods. CLICK HERE to read more on that […]

  6. I’m a proud jewish girl and another golfer who
has lost to me many times once said, the only way
to stop my winning streak was to throw me in a
gas chamber. Everyone laughed and thought it was
harmless, so the next time you want to joke
around with a friend who is winning at anything,
tell them you are going to lynch them, or throw
them in a gas chamber. It’s all harmless fun.
