Gloster, Mississippi is home to Casey Aldridge, father of Jamie Lynn Spears baby. The town of barely over 1,000 residents, is a tight knit community where everyone knows their neighbor and they all turn out for the Friday night football game.

Young Aldridge was a pretty big fish in a very small pond when he attended Amite School Center. The total student body of K-12 was 348 students. There were 32 students in Casey’s graduating class in May 2007.

Casey earned letters in football and baseball and served as senior class president. The strapping 6′1″ and 165 pound youth is said to be good looking, intelligent and easy to like. His teachers acknowledge that in the South, athletes are treated as gods and he had no shortage of female admirers.

It is unclear how Jamie Lynn Spears and Casey Aldridge got together but those who know him say that he wore their relationship like a badge of honor. It was not hard to tell that being associated with the young celebrity gave him an additional boost in status among his already adoring fellow students.

Teachers at Amite say that Casey was bright but did not excel in his studies. They were not surprised to see that he took a job as a laborer instead of going on to a local community college. Aldridge has joined the rank of the working class as a pipe fitter in Baton Rouge.

Aldridge has gone to ground since the story broke and has not made himself available for comment - probably a wise move on his part. The future is uncertain for the couple but one thing is certain. There will be a baby born and regardless of their future couple status, they will forever be connected through their child.
