American Idol Top 50 List Leaked

Although American Idol Season 7 doesn’t hit televisions across the country until January, they are well through the audition process. The powers that be keep the contestant names a closely guarded secret, and the chosen ones are not allowed to tell even their closest friends and family members before the show airs.

A list is now circulating the internet that supposedly names the top 50 American Idol contestants. A user on IdolForums.com using the name ‘JoesPlace’ has listed the names, ages, hometowns and MySpace pages of the contestants who made it to Hollywood.

The list is further broken down into who has gone before the judges, who made it through Hollywood week, and who has been cut. It also lists songs the contestants performed.

MTV News notes that all the names on the list are connected through their MySpace pages, listing each other as top friends and leaving each other comments, despite living in separate cities and states. The closest MySpace friends seem to be the ones who are still in the running.

Some of the various MySpace comments include:

“Miss you girly, hope you’re doing well and back to [your] routine.”

“Whoa man that was deep! You just rocked the soul”

“I miss everyone so much.”

“I didn’t get to hear you do your original song. It seems to have went well (wink wink). It was cool meeting you.”

“I had a blast with you, and your music is so good. You’re just too f—ing talented, that’s totally what it was.”

“Remember us when you get to the top.”

And from a hometown friend of one:

“I heard it through the grapevine that you went to ‘American Idol.’ Is that true?”

When MTV News tried contacting some of the poeple on the list they were met with responses such as:

“I’d really rather not risk anything by saying something,” responded one.

“Sorry, mayne — no can do,” said another.

“I would love to talk with you, but being that I’m still under contract with them until the show airs, everything is confidential until then,” was the answer we received from another on the list.

“I’m sorry, I am unable to speak about that at the moment,” said another. “I appreciate the thought, though.”

I am not going to post the list here. I am sure there are many people like myself who would rather be surprised. I didn’t even try to peek at my Christmas presents when I was a kid, but if you want an early Christmas present, then you can get check out the list HERE.
