Sgt. Jill Stevens is Miss Utah
Jill Stevens wears many hats these days. She is a Utah National Guard Medic with the rank of sergeant. She is also the reigning Miss Utah and may become the next Miss America.
Sergeant Stevens will compete for the top crown on January 26, 2008. When she was first approached to compete for Miss Utah she scoffed at the idea saying that she wears combat boots, not high heels. Apparently she changed her mind and had what it takes to wear multiple hats - or crowns.
Stevens is quite accomplished. She has a nursing degree and is an experienced marathon runner. The 24 year old soldier wanted to bring substance to the crown and has used emergency preparedness as her platform. Wow.

The perfect woman ! She is so pretty and fun to see on CNN !
Go Girl !
Pretty Lady! Good luck to her!
This fine American was totally hosed by the judges in the so-called “Fitness” competition at the Miss America pageant. Just because she didn’t wear a bikini and didn’t strike seductive poses during her time on stage, she was voted out of contention. I don’t blame her for doing push-ups on stage to show the judges who was genuinely “fit”. For crying out loud, she’s a marathon runner. How much more fit would a person have to be? Sgt. Stevens epitomizes what it means to be a true American and for my money, she IS Miss America!
