“Quiet Riot” vocalist Kevin DuBrow was found dead at his home in Las Vegas on Sunday. Friends reportedly went to his home and found the singer. The musician was 52.

DuBrow started the heavy metal band Dubrow in 1980 and later changed the name to Quiet Riot. The group released an album “Mental Health” that took them to the top of the charts. They were the first metal band to receive number one status on their debut album.

Their latest album “Rehab” was released in 2006. Most recently, the group performed in July at glam metal festival “Rocklahoma” and at a free concert in mid September for service members at Kessler AFB in Biloxi, MS.

  1. I was the lead singer for a band that opened for Quiet Riot in a bar in Louisville, Kentucky in 2003 and I can honestly say “it couldn’t happen to a nicer guy.” He was so arrogant, he was “too good” to even speak to me. Too bad i can’t make his funeral. I would be compelled to dance! Rot in Hell, Kevin! Who’s laughing now???? ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  2. Hmmmm…….I wonder why he wouldn’t talk to you?? looks like he really missed out such a wonderful opportunity….NOT!
    Scott you are a DUMBASS!

  3. Scott you are a dumbass!

  4. Let’s see…”rot in hell, Kevin”???? Just for not talking to Scott, lead singer for the opening act??? No account for “why” Kevin didn’t engage in conversation with Scott…just Scott’s sentiment of “rot in hell, Kevin”…..hmmmm? Scott, I knew Kevin and while not always kissing the amount of ass needed to avoid statements like this from idiots like you….Kevin did his best with the time he had, inclination of the moment and IQ of the fan. Kevin probably just didn’t have the time, or the inclination but most likely….it was your lack of IQ that prevented an exchange. I’m sure Kevin would regret your feelings if he were still with us and if he gave a shit!

  5. Yep…Scott is a jack-ass!

  6. i met kevin in spokane in 1993. i was 19 and metal health was one of the first albums i ever owned, i idolized kevin back then and when i met him he was the coolest guy you would ever want to meet. i was shocked to hear that he had passed, it was a sad day in my life, you never forget when someone you look up to treats you like they have known you for a long time, and not only that, treats you with respect and is more than happy to sit and talk with you and tell you how much he appeciates talking to you. what a rush that was and will always be greatful to kevin for taking the time to talk to me and autograph my cds and qr mask that my brother made when metal health(kevin, carlos and frankie were amazed how accurate it was!)came out. any way thanx kevin i will never forget the time i got to talk to you, it was a dream come true! i will see you again, and to scott, you are a retarded witless scumbag that isn’t worth talking to anyway.anyone that want someone to rot in hell is well deserving of it himself.

  8. well talk about egotistical thats a horrible thing to say about someone so great as kevin was!!! i not only had the pleasure of meeting him once but twice, the first time i approched him and told him i was in a band and was trying to get to los angeles to get in the scene that was 1983 in portland oregon he told me some names, and in 1986 in a club in l.a. he approched me on a set break with a puzzeled look and asked where we had met? i told him hell he even remembered my name, i was amazed a big star like he was then would remember a no name like i was then. we hung out for a while and talked and joked about everything then goin on,we shook hands gave a quick hug and he left and i went back on stage and i watched him leave the club. so what kind of guy was? he the kind of guy we all would like to be!!!

  9. I’m not surprised he died of a drug overdose. He got what he deserved. He was a very poor example for society.

  10. Glad to read someone who has the balls to say he was a prick too. He can go to hell but he’ll leave his copyrighted noize to plague future generations when the media says how great he was…..
