Oprah Makes Secret Trip to her Leadership Academy

Oprah made an unexpected visit to her “Oprah Winfrey Leadership Academy” in South Africa on Sunday. She met with the family of a 12 year old pupil who claims to have been abused at the school and then excluded from the sessions that occurred during Oprah’s last visit to the school.

Apparently the girl had been removed by her family amid allegations of abuse. The family was not contacted by school officials or invited to be involved in Oprah’s emergency meeting last month. It is not clear whether her case had fallen through the cracks or if she had been intentionally excluded at that time.

Somehow the family was finally able to get Oprah’s ear and she made a special trip back to South Africa to meet with the girl and her family. The allegations were discussed during a two hour meeting.

The girl’s father was satisfied with the new rules that have been put in place and his daughter will return to complete 8th grade at the school when the new session begins. She was also invited to attended the end of the school year party that is planned for Tuesday.
