Will Donny Osmond be Dancing with the Stars in 2008

Donny Osmond has reportedly been considering signing on for the sixth season of “Dancing with the Stars” which will air starting in March 2008. We thought the photo of Osmond was very appropriate. Donny is likely pinching himself at the Osmond’s resurgence of popularity.

Marie hasn’t been the only one in the limelight this season. Donny has been a fixture on the show too - albeit behind the scenes. He has been interviewing and reporting for Entertainment Tonight as their special correspondent. With sister Marie making it to the final round this week, signing on as a future contestant must look like a pretty good gig.

Let’s face it. Marie Osmond has given the family a huge shot in the arm. The Osmond Brothers 50 Year Celebration was given loads of publicity because of Dancing with the Stars. Marie’s dead faint also created a buzz. And sadly, the death of patriarch George Osmond warmed even the cynics to the Osmond clan.

Donny has said that he and Marie are weighing some future options. Their father would be the first to advise them to strike while the iron is hot.
