Ellen DeGeneres is really starting to make a name for herself – trouble maker. We’ve barely gotten over the Iggy debackle and now she’s at it again. This time she has crossed the Writers Guild picket lines and will continue to do “The Ellen DeGeneres Show”.

The comedian and talk show host was quick to say that she loves the writers but hoped they’d understand her decision. In support of their plight, she will not do a monologue today. She also promised to speak on the subject of the strike during her Friday show and will explain her position.

Show hosts Letterman, O’Brien, Leno and Stewart have all gone dark until the strike is settled. As Ricky Ricardo used to say to Lucy: Ellen, you’ve got some ‘splainin’ to do!
