Britney Spears gave her first formal interview to Ryan Seacrest on his 102.7 KIIS-FM Wednesday morning radio show. If you are looking for some juicy sound bites - forget about it.

Spears’ friends Alli Sims and Sam Lufti first spoke to Seacrest from Britney’s home because she was still sleeping at 9:00 a.m. When she finally came on the phone Ryan asked her what she did last night to celebrate the release of her latest album “Blackout”. Her response was that it was really laid back, they watched movies and ate fried chicken. Seacrest asked the singer what the promotional plans were for the new album. Her response was, “this was it!”

After exhausting the album talk, Seacrest got down to the subject we’re all really interested in - her kids and that whole fiasco. Britney remarked, “people say what they want and do what they do but at the end of the day you’ve got to know in your heart that you’re doing the best that you can.”

Seacrest followed by asking if she was doing the best for her kids. Spears got quieter and responded, “God, yeah.” She seemed to tune Seacrest out at that point and wouldn’t speak of Tuesday’s court decision other than to say that her lawyer knows all that stuff. Minutes later Seacrest realized that he was speaking only to Spears’ two friends. Apparently Britney had gone to take a shower.
