Britney Spears was speeding down the freeway to Las Vegas last night. When cops tried to pull her over, Brit made like the Energizer bunny and kept going and going, for about a mile, even though they were flashing their lights. Another officer was waiting for her when she finally pulled over into a gas station.

Her reply when asked why she was speeding? “was being chased by the paparazzi.” The cops let her go and according to witnesses one of the cops was overheard saying “It pays to be a popstar.”
